You would think we'd have an update on what the hell happened.

And you would think that there'd be an outcry.

Not because we needed the thing, but because they promoted it.

They made it something, and then it just disappeared.

Imagine promoting posted and toasted and never doing it.

People were excited.

I want to take you back a month and a half ago at the very, very beginning of spring training, which was right after the Super Bowl, like it was a long time ago. It was in the depths of winter. When spring training began for the New York Mets, it actually began with two pretty big news stories. Juan Soto was moving from right field to left field, which I know you were intrigued by. Yes. And then Francisco Lindor had a broken hamate bone in his hand. And right away, David Stern said, he will be ready for opening day. And that was certainly met with a lot of skepticism. And we were analyzing it, like, how much time you usually miss with this injury, blah, blah, blah. And a bunch of other guys went down with the same injury right around that time. But I asked everybody, let's make a prediction here on February 13th.

When is he coming back?

Well, credit to David Stearns.

He was right all along because he said opening day.

Right.

And not only is Francisco Lindor on the roster, he's in the lineup, and they don't even have a backup shortstop on the roster. No. Other than moving Bobichette back to his old position. So clearly Lindor is healthy, he has made it back. Let's see what we said. Do you have any recollection on what we said back on February 13th? I think I said a month. Did you really think you said that? Or a little less than a month. I don't see. I have saying somebody was going to be around my birthday. Well, let's find out. You want to start? So, Sean is obviously pretty significantly off.

April 7th is about two weeks from now.

Because I was going to say when I turned 51, which is... Damn it. What's his date? I forgot his birthday. April 7th. That's right. That's right. I believe. We're close there, T. Right. Very, very close. What the hell did I say? So my official prediction is Lindor makes his season debut, and I think I'm being relatively optimistic on March 30th. That's not bad. Yeah, you're close. I was off by four days. You win. You got the month right. I got that. I mean, what did he have in spring training? 19 at bats? Yeah, he came back about a week and a half ago. And obviously, as soon as he did that, you knew he was ready. Right.

Because how many at bats did he truly need in the spring training? Now, the thing to keep an eye on with Lindor is if you go back to that day when we were talking about his injury and how significant it was, I said it could be significant. What if he gets off to another bad start? bad start.
