Grow deeper in love with the blessed sacrament, with mystery of the altar, daily meditations on the Eucharist,

the perfect companion for weekly Eucharistic adoration or for a quick five minutes of prayer each day. What two or three practical steps can you take to renew your covenant with our Lord,

to renew the wellspring of personal prayer,

so that instead of just hearing great ideas,

and instead of just taking away 20 or 30 things that you end up not doing any of them,

you know, it might be the daily rosary, it might be Eucharistic adoration, it might be the chaplain

of divine mercy, which has become one of my all-time favorites. The sabbatical began for me

at the end of April, early May of last year, when I did the total consecration

reading through true devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary with St. Louis de Montfort. And then after

those 33 days, I shared it with my family, and we picked up a book by a former student,

a dear friend, Father Michael Gately, 33 days to morning glory.

And we did that consecration near the end of our family vacation as a family to the

Blessed Virgin Mary.

And you are tapping into inexhaustible depths of divine graces that really are stored up

for us when we discover who we are as God's children in God's family

with the mother of God as our own mother. So I want to encourage you to do all of these things,

but to, you know, just to pick one or two of them that you haven't done before or you used to do,

but you like to return to. Having said all of that, just by way of introduction,

I'd like to focus our attention for the rest of my time on three specific areas. I'd like to

look at what the catechism has to say about prayer at the beginning of the fourth and final
