I'm your host, Carla Pratico, and I'm going to be chatting with two leaders of ThoughtWorks's Office of Social Change Initiatives.

Our first guest, Carl Brown, is the director of technology for Aski and has been with ThoughtWorks' Office of Social Change Initiatives. Our first guest, Carl Brown, is the Director of Technology for Ossky and has been with ThoughtWorks

for two years.

He was previously a program officer at Rockefeller Foundation, where he focused on investments

that supported progress in the digital health space.

The other guest is Gerpreet Luthera, product manager for Bomney.

Bomney is an open source hospital system developed by ThoughtWorks that serves low resource environments.

Prior to this role, Gerprit was the community manager for Bomney and has been building software

and products for over 15 years.

So today we're going to be talking all things open source,

specifically the benefits, the challenges, the costs,

and the common myths associated with creating

and using open source code and programs.
