And today, wanted to orient ourselves a little bit as to where are we in the Lakers off season? What can we expect to happen next? Now, one point to keep in mind is that a team can keep up to 20 players over the course

of the offseason.

Don't have to cut down to 15 until after training camp.

That said, though, Dee, all 15 roster spots are accounted for, although shake Milton

is non-guaranteed, and the deadline for that is July 20th. I don't expect him to be on the team next year. He could either be moved or let go. I say all of that to say that of the 15 roster spots, we basically have one open right now with that Milton being that spot. And the Lakers have the biannual exception to spend at $5.1 million. And as we've seen, the only thing that happened really over the course of this July

4th weekend, league wide was Cam Whitmore got traded to the Wizards for a couple

of second round picks.

Dee, I'm of the belief that league wide there is a transaction or two.

This happens almost every off season where everybody's kind of waiting for one thing

to happen so that it can trigger a series of events after that based off of what it is.

What that is, I'm not sure it might be Golden State and the Kaminga contract and all of that,

but it could be any number of things. And I think the Lakers are sort of positioning

themselves to get the best buyout guy that they can with that $5.1 million, or at least wait

and see if somebody becomes available in that respect. So that's sort of my very brief
