It's Tuesday, January 5th, 2020, from slated to the gist I'm Mike Pesca, and onto the most

compelling story so far of 2021. The president rejecting the results of the election and

talking about it on the phone a lot now, that's not it. The race is to determine the fate

of the Senate. Not bad, boys are going to most compelling. By which I speak of bean dad.

When we last left bean dad, the musician and podcaster John Roddark, he had been hounded

off the internet due to his tweets about making his 11-year-old figure out how to open a

can of beans by herself. Well, not hounded, bean dad admits he's shamefully caved. He needed

to face the music and an apology on his website, Bean Dad writes quote, I deactivated my

Twitter yesterday in a panic. He went on to say, my story about my daughter and the can

of beans was poorly told. I didn't share how much laughing we were doing. How we had a

bowl of pistachios between us all day as we worked out the problem, where that we'd

both had a full breakfast together a few hours before. In other words, he didn't leaven it

with some hand holding to tell people it's okay. It might have seen serious. There might

have been tension at the time in my conveyance. Yes, tension is a form of drama, but what

I really needed to do was assure the audience that a nine-year-old didn't have to go six
