Well, a guy who needs no introduction to the college football and the Big 12 audience is our next guest joining us on Heartland College Sports. He is Andy Staples on three sports doing outstanding work and joining us at Heartland College Sports covering the Big 12. I'm Pete Mundo. And Andy and I did a little bit of work together back in the Sports Illustrated days. He is now doing outstanding work with On 3.

And Andy, let's just start off big picture here.

0:25.7

It's obviously an interesting summer for the Big 12.

0:28.3

We've got the four corners coming in.

0:30.6

How do you feel like just the vibe, the mentality, the vision of this conference changes with OU

0:36.7

and Texas leaving soon and of course Colorado, Utah,

0:39.6

and the Arizona school is coming in. It's I think the most interesting week to week conference

0:45.7

in college football because everybody's so similar. And also, you know, if you want to talk about

0:51.3

1:09.3

You know, it's not, it's not ideal because

1:12.5

you're still, you're dealing with less revenue share in the SEC and the Big Ten and all that.

1:16.8

But in terms of a competitive football product, it's going to be incredible because if you

1:23.1

look at this league, you start counting and you need two hands to count who might actually win the league

1:29.6

this year. It's that, it's so much fun. And, you know, you've got teams that are coming in,

1:34.0

like Utah, Arizona that could compete for the league right away. Maybe Colorado could. We'll see.

1:39.8

But then you've got the stalwarts that have been here, your Kansas states, your Oklahoma states.

1:45.0

And then what we've seen the last few years is somebody's just kind of come out of nowhere.

1:49.5

You had TCU a couple years ago.

1:51.6

You know, we'll see like Baylor won the league in 2021.
