Welcome to Ambridge on the couch, an in-depth look at the archers with me, Jeff Thomas, Lucy Freeman, Harriet Carmichael, James Everett and Matt Rodriguez-Pain.

Now, before we make a start on your emails, let's have a recap of what happened this week in Ambridge.

We began the week with Brad leaping to entirely understandable conclusions about Georgie attacking Ed,

and Emma so firmly on the defensive she was practically waving a shield about.

George had done one of his lightning mood switches again and was playing,

What a Good Boy Am I, but Brad is now hypervigilant, fully cognizant of the fact that if

George goes back to prison, he can console Amber within his manly arms or whatever manly

bit of him she wants consoling in. Alice has finally clocked on to the fact that she still

fancies Chris, especially once she saw his dating profile pick in his sleeveless t-shirt.

But he is, as always, entirely oblivious

and declared his intention of basically shagging his way through Borsetshire and the surrounding area in

2006. His New Year's resolution, by the sound of it, is Chlamydia by March. I wondered if he

might have put a picture of himself dressed as sexy Jesus up on the profile, but that might

give mixed signals. I don't really understand dating apps. 24 hours later, and Emma had

abruptly switched to team George's agit, and there was a showdown between them all. Will started

it off well by saying, none of you're a fibs before George had even opened his mouth. And then

there were so many recriminations

being thrown about. It was like a ticker tape parade of blame. But George did make some valid

points about Nick walloping him and the whole family secrecy thing. Amber left and inevitably

went to Little Bradlington and asked to stay the night, despite knowing that the house was

packed to the gunwills with long-joned grandfather's jazzer Tracy and Chelsea however that set the stage nicely for the ensuing
