You start with Eintrak, gosh, what a final it was against Glasgow Rangers last night, as we speak now.

Only their second major title, and that took 42 years in the making, second major European title, 42 years in the making.

But then you look at their status in the Bundesliga, and you wonder, what were they doing in the final of the Europa League?

Did you know that I felt for a lot of the game until I got nervous, seemed to flick them a little bit, maybe the occasion, which maybe you might explain a few things, especially when you consider this as a team that really eviscerated Barcelona.

Yeah, I can't know. Before I suppose the game developed into one that you might expect between a mid-table German club and one of the major Scottish clubs given where a Scottish football has been for the last 20 years.

Yeah, I thought Eintrak were the better side in the 90 minutes, Rangers were the better side in extra time, I thought.

Who was the better side in the penalty shootout need I ask?

I think we know, but only by a whisker.

I think Kevin Trapp was the best player in extra time, and the penalty shootout, which made the difference, and he's been the best player for most of the season.

But you're right, Miguel, I think so much was riding on this. It meant an enormous amount to both teams, because a lot of people have been a bit disparaging about the quality of the final.

But I think when you think a, the heat, which is just impossible to deal with, particularly for two Northern European teams, and B, the fact that it felt like a one-off chance for both of them.

Now look, we know Eintrak Frankfurt has recently been close enough, three years ago, they're in the Europa League semi-final, they lost to Chelsea on pens, probably should have won.

But they had an incredible front three, then, of Al-Arabic and Yovic.

Since then, they've lost all of those. They've changed around things a couple of times.

Last summer, they lost coach, supporting director, top scorer, André Silva, who went to Laipsey.

So to even be in this position is remarkable.

But you know, they're in a very rebuildy spot. So for them to even be there, I think you're right, Miguel. I think the enormity of what was happening definitely affected both of their abilities to manage the occasion.
