Summary

European football has ground to a halt, but that won’t stop us recording a brand new episode of On The Continent on Football Ramble Daily!

Andy and Luke sit down to discuss Uefa’s decision to postpone Euro 2020 by a year, as their new working group to try and find room to reschedule the continent’s domestic leagues. Each of those various nations have their own strategies to combating the virus, as the Spanish FA’s Luis Rubiales lambasted La Liga sides for prioritising the testing their own players.

Elsewhere, we look at some of the stars who will benefit - and those who won’t - from the tournament’s postponement. The likes of Leroy SanĂ© and Dayot Upamecano will surely light up next summer’s tournament, while Luke spares a thought for Olivier Giroud as his recent resurgence would have helped his chances of leading the line for his country again. We finish up with some actual football, as Turkey’s season continues! In these troubled times, we need comfort; and that’s exactly what Turkey’s given us, as Demba Ba keeps on scoring and a groomed Martin Ĺ krtel stuck one in his own net. Glorious.
