Summary

Summer School in Scotland rolls on and Andy and Brendan have a few more thoughts on The Open, specifically Rory’s performance, after a magical afternoon getting to play The Old Course themselves. Then they get back to the pro golf at hand, namely the 3M Open at TPC Sod Farm, described in one write-up as utilizing “natural, rolling terrain on the site of a former sod farm.” They discuss the Tour’s messaging, which is apparently foremost of what they care about, and how the 3M Open actually exhibits weakness to the point it would be best if they just took a few weeks off following The Open. The women’s and senior majors are previewed, with critiques for two poor venues. The LIV latest is discussed, with David Feherty making the jump and Ernie Els with some sage advice on how this should all shake out, including specific comments on new Champion Golfer of the Year Cam Smith.

1:00.0	Well, I mean, this is the beauty of, you know, we started this podcast in five, almost four years ago, thinking like literally it should be a morning podcast for people coming in to work there, we felt like there wasn't really a podcast that was released on a consistent schedule for the morning.
1:19.0	You know, we thought it'd be short, I don't know that it's always that, but this Scotland time, you know, which forced our hand, we were young and you were childless and I was fewer childless, fewer childs, and we started recording at like 11, we would just do it every night like 10, 30, 11.
1:37.0	This Scotland time being able to wake up, have our coffee and record and have it ready for these.
1:42.0	Well, you know, we're about to coffee is coffee here.
1:46.0	Oh, you're so angry.
1:48.0	It's just an embarrassment.

1:52.0	They should be, you know, everything they get right with golf, everything they get right.
1:57.0	And hospitality, I would say, the people here have been really, really good.

2:03.0	Coffee, coffee shops, like things just don't open till like 9.30.
2:09.0	It's just, it's past the time that I even might want coffee.
2:13.0	You know, I might want an afternoon cup, but the morning's long past.
2:18.0	I've been up for a while, like I, and there's no coffee shop.
2:22.0	We saw people yesterday lined up at a bus station, a bus stop, like they don't have any coffee.
