Oklahoma beats Tennessee on the road to stay alive in the college football

playoff hunt 33 to 27.

God, what a damn good game.

It's hard for me not to

shovel just all the praise on Brent Venables with what they were able to do

coming off you know playing poorly in their eyes I'm sure losing a home game I've coached

against Tennessee and Neeland Stadium I know how hard that is to be able to rally the troops

in a must win game to get you

to seven and two, three and two in the SEC, but most importantly, keep you alive in the college

football playoff hunt. I mean, dude, that takes balls, bro. What a win, man, what a win to go into

Knoxville and pull out this victory. This is one of those football games that was defined by big plays. I mean, the R. Mason Thomas touchdown, one of the greatest touchdowns I've ever seen. On the flip side of that, the Staley touchdown for Tennessee, it was all about big plays. And a number of those big plays were turnovers. And what's the one thing, the one common denominator that Oklahoma had in those

two losses they've had? They were on the losing side of the turnover battle today. Even though

they turned it over twice, they were on the winning side of the turnover battle because they

were able to turn Tennessee over three times. Blaine, again, this is why if you just looked at the

box score, you know, you would not be getting the essence of this game.
