Summary

In the fall of 2008, tonight’s guest, Delanya Clarkson, had a Sasquatch sighting in Lane County, Oregon. When she had it, she had just arrived at a golf club where she had a job interview, a short distance from Creswell, Oregon. Before that day, if you would have told her you’d had a Sasquatch sighting of your own, Delanya would have laughed at you. After experiencing what she did, moments after getting out of her vehicle that day, however, she’s not just a believer in Sasquatch. She’s a knower! 0:04.0	My name is Delania Clarkson and in 2008 I lived in Cottage Grove, Oregon, which is on the side of I-5, a little south of Eugene, about, I would say 15 minutes south of Eugene.
0:18.0	Between Cottage Grove and Eugene, which is a pretty major city,
0:22.5	it's where University of Oregon is, there is a little town called Creswell. And so you can go from
0:28.5	Cottage Grove north to Creswell on I-5, which is a main highway. It's a super main highway that
0:32.8	goes from, I believe, possibly like Washington all the way down to California. It's a pretty major highway.
0:39.6	But there's parallel back roads that you can go from Cottage Grove to Crestwell.
0:44.7	And Cottage Grove is a little town to Crestwell that parallel I-5.
0:49.1	And so in 2008, about the end of September, like the beginning of October, I had an interview at the Cresswell Golf Club.
0:58.0	And so it's this golf club, which is basically a driving range and like, I think it was like a nine hole and it had like a clubhouse.
1:04.7	And it was along a road, a back road that went from Cottage Grove north to Creswell.
1:09.3	And it was on the east side of the road with a hill behind the driving range, just, you know, trees. And it goes, those hills go on forever, like with trees. And then on the west side of it, there's a two-lane road that parallels I-5 that goes from Coddegroft to Creswell, one lane going one way and the other way and going the other way. And so to set it up, like the golf clubhouse is on the east side of the road and on the west side of the road is a parking lot. So I was driving to the golf club for an interview at about 10, 30 in the morning. And I was in a land rover. And my boyfriend at the time was a hunter. And that was hunting rig and so it had it was decked out it had like racks on top and racks in front of it was it was a you know he decked out car it was not a little car so I took that back road from cottage grove to the golf club and it's before the country club well it's a golf club kind of deal and it's before you
2:01.7	hit the actual town of crestwell and so the parking lot to this club is on the west side across
2:08.3	the two lane road from it and so it's kind of pushed up on a knoll so it's like a bunch of land
2:14.0	kind of pushed up and it's just a gravel parking lot or it was at that time and
2:18.5	between high five and the road it goes down so on if you're heading to codsgrove from crestwall going south
2:28.3	i5 is on your right and it goes down on the side of the road that runs parallel to it.
2:34.2	It goes kind of down into a ravine and there's some woods there and there's people's plots of lands.
2:40.0	And you can hear I-5 and on the parallel road bits and pieces you can sometimes see it.
2:45.0	And that comes not kind of into play, but I thought it was on and I'll explain later with that.
2:50.0	But so like 1030 morning,
2:51.8	I pull into this gravel parking lot. There's like a couple cars there. I mean, it's pretty early.
