Roger has made several independent films and directed episodes of The Mind of the Married Man,

The Bernie Mack Show, and NBC's The Office, and has edited episodes of Curb Your Enthusiasm and The League.

But he's probably most notorious for directing Trekkies and Trekkies too,

which explored the lives of Star Trek fans with sympathy and playfulness.

His latest documentary is The Nature of Existence in which he travels around the world,

including gurus, scientists, psychologists, Christians, Buddhists, Muslims, Sikhs,

atheists, agnostics, comedians, pizza chefs, and even the little girl next door,

while we're here and what the hell we're supposed to do about it.

Today we'll talk to Roger about his own views on The Nature of Existence

and also probe him a bit about our shared experience in the world of acupuncture.
