But John Sumral in this coaching carousel, it's kind of heated up.

His name has trended up over the last 48 hours and stuff that's become somewhat interesting,

Darrell.

And I think it's good for Auburn.

I think his name has kind of been farther down on a lot of people's list when you talk about all the great jobs that are available,

Auburn, LSU, Florida, Penn State.

And it's like, oh, why is only Auburn looking at him?

And now we know that that doesn't actually seem to be the case.

It's such a contradictory situation because when you talk about things

picking up, it seems like he's been there all along. He has been the one constant candidate

since it looked like Hugh Freeze may lose his job early in the season when we were on Hugh

freeze watch that has been on everybody's lips. I've said to you before, it's rare that a

coaching search, you hire the dude that everyone's been talking about for months. That dude is

John Sumrall. So maybe it started out being under the radar. But for people that were disappointed

with that take and disappointed that he was probably the leader in the clubhouse, their argument was, well, Auburn's the only one that wants him. He's a group of five coach.
