Summary

Shaykh Yasir Qadhi ponders on our nature of trivializing the sins committed by us and being completely ignorant of being thankless of the bounties of Allah SWT. How do we get rid of these sins? Only and only by performing Tawba and Istighfar (repentance and forgiveness) because of our sins. Four of the major sins committed by Muslims: Shirk Having the feeling that the Help of Allah will not arrive Feeling safe from the potting of Allah Feeling despair from the Mercy of Allah. The Prophet ﷺ said, “Every son of Adam commits sin, and the best of those who commit sin are those who repent.”  Allah (SWT) likes us to be constantly repentant. Allah’s Messenger ﷺ said, “Allah is more pleased with the repentance of His slave than anyone of you is pleased with finding his camel which he had lost in the desert. ”  Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger ﷺ  saying: "Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, said: My mercy excels My wrath". Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, "A believer sees his sins as if he were sitting under a mountain which, he is afraid, may fall on him; whereas the wicked person considers his sins as flies passing over his nose and he just drives them away like this (and he moved his hand over his nose in illustration). Just as we need the forgiveness of Allah for our own sins and mistakes, we must also practice forgiveness toward those who have wronged us.
