I'm Jessica Smetana.

It's an interesting episode today, Jess, because I am not sure that either of us has participated

in the sport or either of the sports we will be talking about today.

We are actually revisiting something that we both agreed in a prior episode was absolutely

terrifying and that we never wanted to do.

But sometimes you have to conquer your fears by just talking about them with strangers.

So we did more of that today.

Yeah, we are going to be joined by the head of competition for the World Surf League and

that is Jesse Miley Dyer. She's going to join us and she's a good sport because she answers

all of our questions. The smart ones and the stupid ones about.

Really, I asked a really stupid one. So stay tuned for that question.

Yeah, for sure.

But I did want to know her answer.

I didn't think it was that stupid. I thought I asked a stupid one.

I know, right?

You know what's funny about this, Kate? A couple days ago, I was at a workout class and

the instructor said that she thought she knew me from a prior class and she thought that

I was a surfer.

Mmm.
