Estrogen is not only important for preventing the breakdown of bone, but also

Estrogen is really essential for collagen, and collagen is what creates elasticity and bone.

So, Estrogen has a huge number of positive effects on bone, not only on increasing

Was it something you gave any thought to at all when you were younger? I know I certainly

didn't, and actually didn't really become much aware of my skeleton in midlife and beyond,

either. I might think about my muscles and my muscle tone and my fat loss and my body shape,

but bones? Well, not so much. So, Dr. Laura Flexer and Dr. Kukie Avery are colleagues at

Chelsea Menopause, and they've written a paper, which was published in the post-reproductive

health journal, all about bone health in women suffering from anorexia. Now, interestingly,

studies have shown that using Estrogen through the skin, to that's gels, patches, sprays,

these women can help to protect their bones, but as we find so often is the case, access to that

Estrogen is very much a post-code lottery. It's an issue that they've come across, both as NHSGPs,

wanting to find support for women suffering from anorexia, but also as menopause specialists,
