I am recording from somewhere south of the equator,

so the greatest miracle of all would be to get through this entire episode

in one contiguous chunk, or at all, for that matter.

In any case, gentlemen, it turns out that the staff,

the once great Washington Post, are in panic mode again

because the theory is that hundreds more staffers,

especially from the newsroom, are going to be let go because I know this

will come as a shock to you, but the Washington Post doesn't make a profit. Now, the reason why

that should really come as a shock to you, Stephen Green, is because it's being run by one of the most

successful business people of our era right now.

I didn't know about it.

Well, I heard he had gone to space on one of his own rockets, so I didn't hear whether he'd

survived that or not, but apparently he has.

And anyway, Steve, as it turns out, I think the newsroom staff is down to about 800 people.

And I was like, 800 people to put out that scanty rag each day.

What are they actually putting?
