O.J Simpson, former NFA. this is your morning

o'J Simpson, former NFL running back who was acquitted in the

1994 murder of his ex wife and her friend has died after a battle with

cancer he was 76. Here with Moore's Daily Wire culture reporter, Megan Basham.

Simpson, also known as The Juice, broke records as a football player in both the NFL and college.

He went on to be a sportscaster, movie star, and even a corporate spokesman for Hertz Rental Cars.

All that came to a screeching halt in June of 1994 when Nicole Brown Simpson, his ex-wife,

and her friend Ron Goldman were found stabbed to death outside her LA home.

Just days later, nearly 100 million people watched live, a Simpson's white Ford Bronco led

LA police on a two hour long car chase as he tried to evade arrest for the murders.

He ultimately surrendered and stood trial. But in October

1995 Simpson was acquitted. The televised trial lasted 11 months and became an

international sensation. His family confirmed his death in a statement this morning,

but they did not specify the type or severity of the cancer.

Long-time journalist Catherine Herridge spoke today before the House Judiciary Committee in a hearing on fighting for free press.
