The reason for this OGOT, I had a conversation with Ben Thompson.

That name might sound familiar if you've been listening to the podcast as of late,

especially those, shall I say, spirited discussions about the ACC,

conference realignment and expansion and where this is all headed.

I've been a subscriber to Stratacchary.

That's the newsletter that Ben Thompson has been writing since 2013.

And I find his work invaluable.

He has this ability to explain like I'm five thing on matters of business strategy, technology, media,

how it impacts society, and ultimately how it's affected my job. It's helped kind of help me

understand where things are going and how I should try to take advantage of that. And honestly,

I feel like ACC officials should subscribe to this newsletter and maybe they would make some

different decisions going forward.

So I had a conversation with him that was recorded not long after the Charter Spectrum

Disney deal was resolved.

We started there discussing winners and losers.

And then the conversation kind of grew into where things are headed, which sports would be

affected.

And ultimately, how we're going to

watch sports going forward. I'll give you a preview. We're going to have a lot of choice,

but it might cost us a lot of money.
