I'm your host, retired NYPD Sergeant Bill Cannon, a 27-year veteran of the NYPD.

Folks were hearing about in New York City, the first major city in the United States

to go to something called congestion pricing.

And you see it up there on the screen.

And my whole dissertation here is congestion pricing, a bait and switch.

And what is the effect?

Or what is it, we don't know yet, but what is the effect going to be on congestion pricing

and subway crime?

Because my whole dissertation here is because people are jumping the turnstiles with impunity

and almost no teeth in the law that they're not prosecuted for it, basically they're

allowed to do it, that the MTA, this big bureaucracy called

the MTA that every year comes in way over budget spends much more money than they bring in.

Then they're losing millions and millions and millions of dollars from Ferry Vaders.

But they're not willing to attack that problem.

They're not willing to attack the problem of emotionally disturbed people taking over the subway

system. So what's the easiest way? Well, let's hit the taxpayer. Let's hit the people in the

outer boroughs that drive their cars into the city.

And let's pretend it's about congestion in traffic.

Let's pretend that.

And let's bang these poor taxpayers minimum $9 during the peak times to drive into the city.
