The migrant story is global, that it's Iranian-Basin, Turkish-Greek border, certainly the English

channel.

And then in the Americas, the Panama's Darian gap, the Mexican border all along the US.

And now, New York City, again dealing with the results of these migrations, an overwhelming

number in the city shelter system, I welcome Gwen Hogan of the city, an online journal,

who's helped me understand the moving story of what is to be done with the migrants arriving

in New York every day, every week, and the numbers already here, two numbers of significance,

of the estimated as of 9 September 10, 112,000 people in city administered shelters, 60,000

are believed to be migrants.

The other statistic, of course, is which of those migrants are attached to families with

children, that's a special concern in New York.

I learned from Gwen that 40,000 of the 56 or 57,000 migrants in city shelters are families

with children, therefore they need special consideration, and now to the details.

Gwen, a very good evening to you, thank you for this.

The city has come up with a system not entirely approved by the state or otherwise, to move

single males out of shelters or facilities in order to make room for the arriving migrants.

Now I get lost in days and how long they have and how these notices are going out.
