I was set on being a Mounted Police Officer from a young age, but I knew it had to move

to make it happen, and for me, the Met presented endless opportunities.

From joining as a PC at age 23, I went into a variety of roles, from emergency response

to public order policing. As a sergeant in the Mounted Branch, my dream job became reality.

Now I've been promoted to Inspector, I can't wait to see where my career takes me next.

the New York Daily News. Migrants, that story is global. The global south migrating to the

global north, climate change, bad governance, accident war. It's going on in Central America

at the Mexican border. It's going on in Europe at the border between Turkey and Greece,

and the Mediterranean basin. It's even going on in England as young people brave the North Sea

and the channel to cross to a better world in the Great Britain. Well, the stories in New York City,

the migrants are associated with some particular countries, but really it's from everywhere.

Migrants from Venezuela were mentioned some weeks. And the mayor of New York, Mr. Adams,

has been struggling to find a solution for the overwhelming numbers that continue to dominate

the city, especially in Central City. Harry, a very good day to you. The mayor is struggling,

as all mayors are, with the homeless story. So far, his response has been to use the hotels.

He did reference private homes. He did reference church facilities. What is the story about

finding people places to stay that have come from very far away and are not likely to return quickly?
