The mayor of Manhattan and the five boroughs, Eric Adams. The New York Times, in Mexico

Adams, praised migrants. He also told them to stop coming. The issue of course is migrants

from the southern border, especially Venezuela's. I welcome Harry Segal of the city, a senior

editor, and a columnist at the New York Daily News to sort out what we know so far about

New York City's overwhelming burden of migrants who continue to arrive despite the fact that

the city is struggling to find space and sustenance for the adults and schooling for the children.

I mention because there's irony here, the Biden administration has now reversed itself

of these years and is building more of the wall in the southern border. And right now

has announced that it will be deporting illegal immigrants from Venezuela. There's no clarity

here. But last week, Harry and I were dealing with the fact that the Venezuelans in New

York and elsewhere were going to be permitted in some fashion to stay and work. Harry,

I appeal to you, Harry, to help me understand this. The mayor's in Mexico giving a mixed

message. I'm told from the New York Times that the people who are in Manhattan now or

in the five boroughs now are sending messages back home saying things are good. And the

mayor is saying, no, they're not. Mayor Adams is in charge of this. Where's he going,

Harry? Can we tell? Good evening to you. Good evening, Jack. Look, Mayor Adams is in

pretty deep over his head. He's broke president to the world. He's conducting his own diplomacy

from Mexico and Central America while Anthony Blinken, the secretary of state is also in

the region. And he's delivering this message to migrants. He's saying to business people,

come here. It's great to the migrants. Don't come here. You're going to be absolutely

miserable. The issue being that nobody cares what Mayor Adams says. These are all people
