Tonight was the end of one era and the beginning of another.

Tonight was the first major event of the 2.0 era for NXT, takeover is no more.

Takeover is a thing of the past and it may also have been the final chapter for Mr. NXT,

the man who a lot of people would associate as the face of the black and gold brand,

from NXT Champion, from NXT North American Champion, NXT Tag Team Champion,

the first ever triple crown winner, in NXT.

And the man who owns the top two spots in my opinion, when it comes to the greatest matches

in NXT history, when I think of what those matches are, I think of Takeover New York.

Against Adam Cole, I think of Takeover Philadelphia.

Against Andrade Siena Almas, I think of Takeover New Orleans, non-sanctioned.

Against Tomaso Ciampa, I think of Takeover Toronto, against the revival.

There's a reason they call this man Johnny Takeover and even though tonight was not technically a takeover event,

when Johnny Gargano is on the big stage.

When Johnny Gargano is at a major NXT event in a big match, whether it's as a baby face,

whether it's as a heel, the one thing that you cannot say about this man is that he doesn't bring it

every single time in a big match situation.

There's a lot of people who say a lot of things about him because he's not the biggest guy in the world,

but Johnny Gargano is one of the best baby faces that this company has seen in the last decade.

I put him on a very short list with people like Daniel Bryan and people like Sammy Zane back when he was in NXT as well.

As a baby face, Johnny Gargano is someone who, when you look back and you say, who is on your Mount Rushmore of NXT.

We hear about these Mount Rushmore questions all the time, who are the faces of WWE?

When you think about who the faces are of NXT, Johnny Gargano is going to be on most people's Mount Rushmore.
