with Peter Hussi, who is the Senior Fellow at the National Institute for DeTurrent Studies,

a new report from a bipartisan commission entitled America's Strategic Poster, Nuclear

Weapons, a read from the report.

While we did not conduct a cost analysis of our recommendations, it is obvious they

will cost money.

We do recognize budget realities, but we also believe the nation must make these new

investments and U.S. leaders must communicate to U.S. citizens both the need and urgency

to rebuild the nuclear infrastructure and to modernize the nuclear forces, cost money.

What is the threat?

I understand we now have two peer nuclear-powered adversaries, both of whom are predators.

Good evening, John, and good evening, Gordon, nice to talk with you today.

When you ask me what the problem is, the problem is that both Russia and China are accelerating

their building of new nuclear weapons, as well as cyberspace and conventional weapons.

And as you see in Ukraine and vis-a-vis Taiwan, the threats are getting worse and getting

very serious.

I was reading during the day, over I think a couple hundred times Chinese airplanes and

ships have come within literally feet of our own planes and ships to intimidate us,

and you're not meant to, I mean, it's against the law and agreements in international space.
