Department has released an affidavit. It used to seize election ballots in Georgia. NPR's

Stephen Fowler reports. The investigation was initiated by a lawyer who tried to help

President Trump overturn the 2020 election. The affidavit unsealed in federal court says the FBI

is looking into, quote, deficiencies in Fulton counties counting and hand counting and recounting

of the 2020 presidential race. It includes his evidence multiple claims that had already been investigated and were not

substantiated.

The filing also says this investigation was started by Kurt Olson, who tried to overturn

the 2020 election.

He's now working in the Trump administration as the, quote, director of election security

and integrity.

proposal from the White House is incomplete and insufficient as they demand new restrictions on

President Trump's immigration crackdown and threaten a partial shutdown of the Department of Homeland

Security. Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer and House Democratic leader Hakeem

Jeffries said in his statement

that a White House response to the list of demands they sent over the weekend does not address, quote,

the concerns Americans have about ISIS lawless conduct.
