Summary

The Mets are not in the playoffs. $391 million. No postseason. All they need was a win on Sunday vs the Marlins and they were shutout. 3rd time they’ve been eliminated by the Marlins on the final day of the season. (19:00) Now let’s talk about the Astros. Houston has a problem for the first time in years. They missed the postseason. (24:30) The Toronto Blue Jays have won the AL East. Tied with the New York Yankees, but the tiebreaker got the win. First title since 2015! Alex Cora talked after the Red Sox made the postseason. He said no one believed in them. Hmm. (37:00) The Guardians did it. They won the AL Central. How? 15.5 games back! Sorry, Detroit! (42:00) Let’s go over my preseason predictions in baseball. Aaron Judge is the MVP. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

you think about you've spent an entire year pushing a boulder up a hill,

1:31.2

step by step, trying to get to the top.

crushes you and the village at the bottom of the mountain, and then you spend the

1:46.5

off-season putting the boulder back together, rebuilding the houses, and pushing it up the hill again.

1:55.6

For the Mets, their boulder was the size of the Armageddon Mete meteor because they had the second highest payroll in the sport.

2:05.5

Steve Cohn was at the end of his prediction.

2:08.8

When he took over the Mets, he said three to five years, World Series or bust?

2:13.6

Well, this was the end of year five.

2:15.9

Didn't get a World Series, didn't get to the World Series, got to an LCS, but he will be well known and better known for during his period of great depreciation.
