Koch and I am preparing for this show

have been talking a lot about paywalls,

thinking about the sporting class shows that we've recorded with Skipper

and about the streaming services

and all of the new apps that you all can get

that I get to trying to keep track of what I'm streaming what I'm bundling what I'm paying per month

Feeling like you're getting nicled and dined and it just automatically renews like Columbia Records and it occurred to me that it's time now for you all

to realize and for me to realize there's no going back. Paywalls are our present and our future. You deciding

what you want to watch, when you want to watch it comes at a price.

And the question will always be,

what are you willing to pay to watch what you want to watch

and at what point does the price become too big that the

inflection point happens and you say you know what I'm going to cut my

expenses here and I will pass on watching this event or that event.

The reason why it's been in our head is that the number one story of 2023

and we told you from the beginning it would be number one and it has

been it is still number one and that is the bankruptcy of Diamond you may know

it is Bally's Regional Sports Networks.

They've got baseball teams, hockey teams, basketball teams.

And we've talked about what it meant.
