The Exposure. That's the nothing personal word of the day for Thursday, January 29th,

2006. Brian Cashman introduced the greatest free agent signing the Yankees have had in the last 60 days.

They brought back Cody Bellinger and had a video call.

And Brian Cashman had some interesting quotes about his view of the team.

Maybe having listened to nothing personal.

And the thought was, hey, when you bring back your own guy, what exactly are you doing to make your team better?

So Brian Cashman decided that he would tell us why his team is better with Bellinger back

and the trade deadline acquisitions from last season back for a full season,

with the possibility of Garrett Cole coming back from Tommy John at some point during the season.

And it was all about exposure. When I hear the word exposure, I think of two things. You can do it. You can come up with the two things I think of.

One of them is related to a camera. One of them's not. What I don't think of is exposure to postseason baseball.

The New York Yankees are on a historic run, one that's lasted the entirety of my career,

and since my career within baseball has come to an end, they don't have losing seasons.

They are the Mike Tomlin of baseball, which is truly a remarkable level of consistency.

They are in the postseason seemingly every year, though not accurately.

While it is true, they have not won a World Series since 2009.

They're not exactly the Dallas Cowboys, though approaching, but, you know, they've got a 14-year

advantage over the ineptitude of the Cowboys.

But in New York, when you are the Yankees, X the Dodgers, because when the Yankees started

this run, the Dodgers were not what they are now.

It has always been World Series or bust.
