It would be easy to assume that any reasonable person observing Israeli soldiers ransacking

Palestinian mosques assassinating Palestinian journalists and spying on Palestinian children

would be shocked and appalled.

And if they held their noses at it, our political expedience.

But what if Palestine wasn't a toolestane on Israel's reputation as the only democracy

in the Middle East?

What if instead it was a showroom?

In the Palestine laboratory, Australian journalist Anthony Lonestein presents the West Bank

and Gaza Strip as an advertisement for Israel's Leviathan weapons industry, the 10th largest

in the world.

Israel accepted every single arms deal that was brought to it between 2007 and 2022.

Lonestein sets out how with this unscrupulous approach to arms trading, Israel seeks to

win the approval even cultivate the dependence of other states, including those that claim

not to even recognize the country.

By forcing itself into the center of the global military industrial complex, Israel has

made its apartheid regime not only permissible to global powers, but economically, politically

and strategically necessary to them.

A place where their own tools of repression can be tested in beta mode.
