It's Notre Dame's final game of the regular season. Now, kickoff, it's a late one, folks. 10.30 p.m. Eastern time on ESPN. Currently, Notre Dame is favored. I thought this was a little odd, especially given their performance last week.

Notre Dame is favored by 32 and a half points. The over under is set at 52 and a half. I wasn't expecting Notre Dame to be favored by 70, but considering that their opening line against Syracuse was like 35 and a half, and their opening line against Stanford is 32 and a half. I thought that was a little

interesting, but when Notre Dame's favorite by 30, I'm not. And what? Did you expect it to be closer or wider? No, I was expecting to be a small. I expected it to be the same. Like I expected Notre Dame to be around. Like I didn't think it was going to be less. Now, you get the three point. Stanford will get like a three point bump for being at home.

That's what I was kind of thinking, yeah.

that the spread they see it to be the same but yeah I thought that was a little interesting but again

the over under a set relatively low Notre Dame spread is still relatively high so they're expecting

this to go down the same way Brian Brian. Well, I love this series. You know, I mean, we've talked about this before. It's a, it's a series where I've been, I've been kind of back and forth on different times where I'm like ready for the series to be over and then I'm not. And, you know, but this is one where Notre Dame has a 24 to 14 all-time advantage over Stanford.

The official number is 23 to 14, but that counts the vacated 2012 win.

I don't do that. It's 24 to 14. It's one of those games where it feels like Notre Dame and Stanford have played more than 38 times, but they've only played 38 times because this rivalry really didn't become a thing until the 90s.

Notre Dame and Stanford played for the, really for the first time in a stretch in the, in the

1988, and then they played every year until 1995.

Then they didn't play in 95, 96.

And then from 97 on, they've played every year except the COVID year.

And so this is a bit of a newer rivalry. Trevor, it was one of those ones where the school

was looking for a chance to finish every year out in the West Coast for, you know,

recruiting reasons that no longer are valid because recruiting is basically over by the time

you get to the end of the regular season.

I mean, signing day is next week. There's no on the road flips you're going to make in the next week.

Those things have already kind of happen. And, you know, so I look at it this way and say,

I don't know that I really care about this series continuing unless USC comes off the schedule, then I would still continue it. I just don't know that I really care about this series continuing unless USC comes off the schedule,
