We are talking, basically, areas for improvement for Notre Dame's offense.

And again, like we did with the grading scale, we kind of split this up a little bit into two different areas.

So what are some of the things that kind of fed into this conversation when you talk about areas for improvement for offensive defense? Yeah, it's, it's pretty simple. When you talk about, okay, it's not about, all right, Notre Dame, I want Notre Dame, I want Notre Dame to rank in the top five in scoring. And I want them to rank in the top five in yards per game. And I want to they could do that trav like honestly when you look at the schedule the rest of the way

Notre Dame could finish the season as a top five rank scoring offense and total

defense and not improve an ounce on offense in the last five games because of who they're playing

and and because like if you look at Notre Dame's numbers and and you know we'll get into the

offense here in a little bit but like their numbers against power five teams is like really

outstanding and and they play three pretty bad defenses the rest of the way one defense that's

not bad in navy but completely out-athleted.

And then another defense in Pitt that you're like, okay, it's good, but it's like,

it struggled against some teams that aren't in Notre Dame's league.

So it's about, okay, is the defense, is the offense and defense improving?

Is this football team improving to the point where you can say we can play with, looking at it from a Notre Dame coaching standpoint.

We can play with any team anywhere. We can beat anybody anywhere if we play our game. And then you evaluate and say, okay, cool, you get to that point.

But then how consistently are you doing that?

And so it's really about saying these are the areas where the Notre Dame needs to improve to not only win the next five games, because again,

Notre Dame, if Notre Dame just plays the next five games like they played the last five games,

they will be 10 and 2 and in the college football playoffs.

I don't know if that's good enough for them to then go win a championship.

And that's the goal.

The goal is to not just win the next five games, but get yourself to the point where you are
