It's Monday, and unfortunately, Notre Dame's regular season has come to an end. But the work that we do here over at Irish Breakdown, obviously for those of you who have been with Irish Breakdown since the beginning, you know that our work does not end here. We will be going over everything throughout the off season. Year round coverage here at Irish Breakdown. It's one of the reasons why I love listening to this show before I got on this end of the screen. Now I get to do awesome work every single day with Brian. So we will be coming with you, really along with you. We're all a part of this journey. And honestly, Brian, this is a weird spot to be. And I woke up this morning really not knowing what to do with myself because it's, you and I were both kind of expecting to be talking Notre Dame ball here really for the next month and a half. Yeah. We thought we were going to be talking about playoff game matchup and you know, then we thought we talked ball game matchup. And I woke up this morning, Trev, almost kind of like, did that really happen? Like, because you said regular season's over with. And you're right, but like the season's over. Like this verse, I mean, and not even like this version of Nurtain is not going to ever play again because like the bowl sit out. It's like it it's over like we watched Jeremiah Love take his last carry at their name like 2 o'clock in the morning yeah you know which is just one of many things that are got their name fired up right now but I had to wake up and kind of get right into it because at 920 I had to go on with with Cole Cabellick and Greg McRoy, and that, that was intense. And then I had to went on with Crane and Company at 11. So I'll go on with anybody that's willing to have that discussion and debate because I'm not going to, like, I'm going to take my own advice. I've told Notre Dame, don't take this laying down. Don't take this. Don't let them just roll over you. So anyone willing to have me on their show and talk about it, I'm going to go on and state my case because I'm tired of the lazy narratives. I'm tired of the lazy talking points. I'm tired of the spin. I'm tired of the, oh, well, this doesn't count because of this reason, that reason, the other reason. And then in the same breath, tell me, well, this is a top five football team in my opinion.

And why did we spend the last 20 in the same breath, tell me, well, this is a top five football team,

in my opinion.

And why did we spend the last 20 minutes of you trying to tell me that they shouldn't be in the playoffs?

You know what I mean?

So I'm a little fired up today, Trevor.

Just got done listening to Pete Babacqua's comments with Dan Patrick.

We're going to have an interesting show today, man. Very, very interesting show.

We are. We are. And before we dive into this, I just wanted to say this really quickly. Yesterday in the show, and it came to my attention. My wife listens to the show all the time. She loved supporting what I do here, and I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for that. I did want to apologize. Guys, I was extremely short yesterday going through some of the super chats that we got and reading them. And that is not,

I wanted to be clear that that is not an inflection of how I feel about the great people in

this community. It was a rough, long weekend. And this was just kind of the culmination of all of it.

So my apologies in that breath that I was extremely short yesterday with some of the people

that were putting in Super Chess because it is appreciated.

But we're back and ready to go today.
