It is another game week.

I, for one, am happy that we don't have another bye week that we have to wait through.

Notre Dame and us fans, us here at Irish Breakdown could just hop into another game week and hopefully continue to put these first two losses in the rearview mirror.

But it is Tuesday.

We're kicking off game week, and we're going to begin by talking about what's at stake for Notre Dame in their third game of the season when they host the two and one Purdue Boilermakers.

After that, we're going to switch it up a little bit.

In weeks past, we've talked about the team preview, and we've started giving a high level overview of their upcoming opponent. But before we do that, there are some things that we need to dive into about this football team big picture. And we're going to break this down into three separate segments. We're going to talk about the team overall, what's been happening, what needs fixed, what are some of the issues?

And then we're going to get a little bit more granular. We're going to talk offense, and we're going to talk about defense. Same format. We're talking about what's been happening and what can be corrected and what needs to be fixed. But Brian, it's to the point in the season now where unfortunately, Notre Dame has only played two games and we're having to sit down and talk about what needs fixed, what needs corrected. And when you look at everything, that is what makes this game

against Purdue such a high stakes game. And I didn't think that I was going to be saying that going

into their third game of the season. But nonetheless, here we are. This is a big game for Notre Dame

on Saturday. Some of the particulars, it's their third game of the season. It's produced fourth because they haven't had the early byweek yet. Both teams are coming off of a loss. This is going to be at Notre Dame Stadium on Saturday, September 20th, 3.30 p.m. Eastern kickoff. You can watch a game on NBC or on the Peacock app. Right now, the spread on

So Notre Dame Purdue this Saturday, a lot at stake for the Irish. There is. And you know,

a lot of times, Treb, obviously on this Tuesday show, we're going to talk about what's at stake.

And then we're going to dive into breaking down the opponent. But we decided not to do that this week because at the end of the day, this isn't about Purdue. There's a ton at stake for Notre Dame this weekend against Purdue. But this game isn't about Purdue. just like this past weekend wasn't about Texas A&M.
