Another week of the offseason is just about behind us.

We are now one week closer to Notre Dame kicking off against Wisconsin for the 26 football season.

Still a ways to go, which means we have plenty of time for a Friday free-for-all mailbag today,

Now, so far like every week in the off season, there was more breaking news last night pertaining to Notre Dame. We're going to kind of address that to kind of start the show. Some mailbag questions about it. We'll bring those up during that segment too. But Notre Dame's linebacker coach, who was their defensive line coach, Al Washington, is now headed to the NFL to rejoin forces with Jeff Hathley at the Miami Dolphins.

So that move was announced and made public last night.

And just more news for the Notre Dame offseason, Brian.

It is.

And there's a lot of questions about it.

And we'll bring some of them up.

But obviously, this is a loss for Notre Dame. And I just want to, I want to first of all, implore Notre Dame fans to not everything is a conspiracy.

Not everything is like, well, they did this to do this, to do this, to do this.

You know, like how long did they know that Mike Mickens was leaving? Well, considering that the head coach for the team he left for got hired three days before he left, probably not long. You know what I mean? Like, not everything's a conspiracy. I'll explain kind of how all this kind of stuff went down. But also, you know, we don't have to, you know, there's a portion of the

fan base that just likes to kind of bash everybody that leaves the program. And there's another

portion of the fan base that just likes to woes us every time something happens. When you lose

coaches like Mike Mickens and now Washington, it's a loss

to varying degrees for different types of impact, but it's a loss. And it's okay to say this is a

loss and it's going to be tough for Marcus Freeman to replace them. But at the same time,

we can also say, but when you're a program like Notre Dame and your school
