Another day in the off season, another day closer to spring ball, another day closer to Notre Dame kicking off their season against Wisconsin.

And today we have an awesome show in store for you guys.

We are continuing our position preview here on the Irish Breakdown podcast.

And today we get to talk about the linebacker position,

one that is very exciting to talk about for Notre Dame's defense.

We are going to talk about what we believe is one of,

if not the best groups in the country.

And really we're breaking it down into three segments today.

First, we're really talking expectations, big picture view for this group, macro view,

as I've said from time to time. Just what's at stake for this unit on defense? What does the

outlook of their season look like? Part two, we're really diving into the roster. What makes up

this room? Why are we so high on this room? And then we're going to wrap everything up and tied in a bow

and really talk about what we think this room could eventually do in the 2026 season. And not

that it's a spoiler alert, we've gone on record to say it quite a bit, but we think it's going to

be pretty exceptional. But Brian, this linebacker group is outstanding. I'm excited that we're talking

about this group today, man.

It is. And obviously, it's been an offseason of change.

And there's a lot of new aspects to this.
