From the first ever college football playoff game to be played on a college campus, and it will be played at the University of Notre Dame inside

Notre Dame Stadium. This is what it's all about, Trevor. All the offseason work, all the

ups and downs this team had to go through through the regular season. It all pulls down to

creating this opportunity for yourselves as a football team to go out there and play

for a championship.

And that journey starts tomorrow night when the Irish take on the Indiana Hoosiers.

Notre Dame Nation is fired up, Trevor.

Man, man.

I just can't, I can't, to be honest with you, I can't put into words how excited I am.

I mean, I'm a big guy with storylines, and you kind of look at this Notre Dame football team

in the journey that it took for them to get there, and you cap that all off with the first

ever home college football playoff game being in South Bend, Indiana.

I don't know if you can write it up better than that.

You know, and I mean, it's fitting after what this team had to go through,

after what some of the players and what some of the coaches had to go through to get to this point.

I know I'm not on the team, but I'm sure a lot of other people feel similar.

Like I feel like I was a part of the ride, right? after Texas A&M and, you know, the lowest of lows after the Northern Illinois loss.

And then it was a slow rebuild back to where they're at right now.

You cap it off with a 14 point road win over USC.

And man, all leading to this.
