Is there any way the defense isn't as bad as we think, and we are just spoiled from the last few seasons,

just reaching for any optimism?

No, because we're not arguing about a team that was a top five defense last year.

And you spoiled Notre Dame fans are now complaining because they took a little bit of a step

back, and now they

rank 25th in scoring instead of top five. Now they rank, you know, 27th or 30th and past

defense instead of the top five that they were last year. Like, boy, you Notre Dame fans, man,

you guys are just, you guys are spoiled. This is still a good defense.

No, they're terrible.

And you want to know why?

It's not just my feelings.

Right now, Notre Dame ranks 118th in score in total defense, scoring defense.

118th.

So, I mean, let's just say, okay, other teams have played FCS teams against only FBS games.

They rank 105th. So that's not exactly, you know, a big boost either. Okay, well, yeah, they've played a lot of power four teams. What about games where
