Jason Smith. How long would you say it would take Freeman to realize of Ash or whoever is a good or bad hire?

I mean, you should have some sense of an idea early.

I mean, how are they going through preparation?

How are they interacting with players?

How are they teaching?

You know, do they show a good grasp of installation?

Do they show a good grasp of installation? Do they show a good grasp of

preparation for your opponent, of getting a read on your opponent, of having good

situational football packages? I mean, you should know pretty quickly if it's a good

or bad hire. Now, there's varying levels to good or bad. Hey, this is a good hire,

but I think there's some areas where he's not great.

So let me then go make a hire that, you know, like, yeah, you can have a decoordinator that maybe isn't a great.

He's a guy that's great with scheme and coverage and blitz packages, but he's not great at, like, how to get the most out of the defensive line.

So you go hire a guy to come in who's a really good defensive line coach who can kind of help him be better there. Or you've got maybe a linebacker's coach who's great with, you know,

run schemes and shutting down up opponent run games, but isn't super great with the proper

coverage structure to go with that.

So you make sure you go out and hire a guy who's great at that.

And then you partner together.

That's what staffs are for.

So sometimes you say, it's a good hire, but I think we need to be better here.

He needs to be better there.

But then I need to make sure I'm hiring the people around him to help him be better there.
