It goes, by so hold, Notre Dame will lead the nation's scoring and have a top five offense and defense.

So if you're going to talk regular season, I could see a scenario in which Notre Dame leads the nation and scoring in the regular

season. I could definitely see that. I mean, they finished last year number three in the regular

season. They were behind Indiana, who was ahead of them in the regular season. Indiana fell below

them in the postseason because Notre Dame didn't play a postseason game.

And Notre Dame was behind North Texas at 45.1.

The year before, the leading scoring team was 43.9.

Miami, 23, it was 45.5, like Dembrox, LSU offense.

In 2022, Tennessee was at 46.1.

In 2021, it was Ohio State at 45.7 in 2020, I can count 2020, 2019 LSU at 48.4. So, I mean, it's going to basically be between 43 to 48 points

per game is what you're going to need to lead the nation. Notre Dame is the 42 last year,

and I think their offense could and should be even better this year.

So I'll buy that they have a chance to do that.

I don't know that, again, I don't know that I would bet on it,

but they have a chance to do that.

Will they get it?

I don't know.

What I'm confident saying, though,

is that I do think that they will finish in the top five in scoring offense. I'm very confident in that. Will they do with that in scoring defense? That's a different question. The good news is, is the schedule this year when it comes to offensive teams is not great. There's not a lot of great offenses that Nureen faces this year. Miami will be a really, really, really good offense. SMU should be a pretty good offense. You know, Navy and BYU. After that, there's not a lot of offenses that I feel a lot of great confidence in. They're going to score a ton of points. So it's certainly possible for Notre Dame to do that. But, you know, that's going to result in quite an improvement for Chris Ash.
