jake burns we are going through uh shrine bowl stuff here because these All-Star games are happening this week,

a lot of practices, and quite obviously it moves quickly. It really started last weekend for the

Shrine Bowl as they played their game last night. We're going to talk through some prospects,

I thought, had some performances that kind of matter to whether they're drafted. The Shrine Bowl,

as you guys

know, is not quite as often loaded with prospects getting selected. There are a growing number,

and we have seen some bigger names select this game as the split. There's just this awkward

split between the Senior Bowl and the Triangle of like, you know, media tension, and it's turned into this divide of what players are going here versus there. And normally it's the Senior Bowl getting the best prospects. But we know, I understand neither of them played. But you had Shadur Sanders and obviously Cam Ward, the two biggest quarterback names in the draft, choosing to go down. And obviously, like I said, they didn't play in the game. They didn't practice, but they were at that game instead of being around the Senior Bowl, which is a move in a different direction. We've seen more an uptick, not an elite amount, but an uptick of higher selected players that are working their way into the Tribal. I think that's going to keep moving as time goes on. but for the most part, the senior bowl still dominates the landscape in terms of the overall quality of prospects. But that doesn't mean you can avoid the shrine bowl, right? There have been players on the Browns roster who have come straight out of the shrine bowl and have played there and improved their draft stock. I mean, think of recently, just last year, Joanne Briggs plays in the game, Miles Hardin plays in this game, among many others that have found NFL rosters. Beanie Bishop, we saw, as an undrafted player, but the list kind of goes on and on, right? It's not as deep. It's not as many guys getting drafted and obviously making an impact as there are more top names, but again, you cannot ignore it. But I want to go through a couple things and talk about players that first stood out at practice. Listen, the game was not all that interesting. It was a 25-0-0 blowout. The quarterback play, which is the case in most of these, both guys, new guys at quarterback, offensive lines trying to gel together and like, you know, wide receivers all trying to figure it out at the same time.

It's not, you know, the East team wins.

It's driven by some turnovers that happened.

But it's just about looking at prospects.

These guys know, and it's important to understand, like the Browns know most of these guys really well.

Every organization does.

There's a gigantic amount of scouting, information gathering, et cetera, et cetera, that happens. The tape is consumed. The reports are made. If they get a good review of a guy, they're going in at a deeper level, kind of elevating these scouting reports up to the top. And like these players at these games, they have a decent feel for more of the guys at

i would say the senior bowl but you know they get to know some of these guys at the shrine bowl at a

deeper level but the regional scouts that the browns have are unearthing these guys so really what

i'm trying to get at is there's not a whole bunch new that they get from these all-star games but

it's nice to meet these
