President Donald Trump has fired Kristy Nome as Homeland Security Secretary and replaced her with Oklahoma Senator Mark Wayne Mullen.

And we're going to get along great. I look forward to working with him in his cabinet. Of course, we've got to go through this little thing called confirmation. And we're going to get started on right away. On Truth Social, the president said Mullen would take over the position

on March 31st. He thanked Noam for her service and says her new role would be special envoy for

the Shield of the Americas, a new security initiative in the Western Hemisphere. Noam has faced

growing scrutiny after what current and former Homeland Security officials perceived as serious missteps,

including her decision to pause TSA pre-check during the current DHS funding lapse,

which was later reversed, her alleged romantic relationship with her chief advisor,

and conflicting accounts over fatal shootings involving federal immigration agents.
