Before we do that, I want to give just a brief intro of myself just for those of you who may be listening for the first time.

I am a therapist, I'm a psychotherapist, over 10 years psychotherapy experience, worked in child protection, spent some time in a jail, working there, don't worry.

I have my own private practice for a while I employed some amazing

clinicians worked in child welfare for a significant portion of my time. My

clinical experiences, my specialties are substance abuse, I'm duly licensed and mental health and

substance abuse and I also work a lot with trauma and anxiety.

So that's just a little bit of my background.

How I got here, I got pretty burned out in my career,

spending a whole lot of time with trauma, with high risk, fast pace type of work, it

burnt me out over the course of 10 years.

And I tried to maneuver that with different jobs and different adventurous fun things that I could do within my career. But in the end I was still really burnt out. So that got me to a place where I said you know I really need to find my passion and my purpose and in doing that the only thing that I could think of was working with first responders. I have several first responders in my family, I'm a law enforcement wife, and I really saw the impact of burnout affecting not only myself, but first responders around me and I said you know what I want to take everything that I know about mental health and about wellness and I'm going to give it back to my first responder community.
