I'm delighted to introduce you all to Noah Tishby, if you don't know her. She's the author of Israel, a simple guide to the most

misunderstood country on earth. And this conversation was actually taped alive. I had a little

lunch for her, and there were about, I don't know, 20, 30 women in the room.

And so every so often you'll hear laughter and comments and things like that. But I did the

interview in that format to kind of get people to get to know Noah in a new context. I was introduced

to her by Polly Levine, who is a friend of my mom's. And anyway, so that's why it might sound a little different than the usual podcast.

But Noah is an Israeli-American author, actress, producer, and activist.

Born and raised in Tel Aviv, Israel.

She got her start in the Israeli entertainment industry in the original musical David.

She had a drama scholarship from Tel Aviv Museum of Art and then went on to

appear in Israel's leading TV shows, films, theater, and ad campaigns becoming a household

name. She recently appeared in the Showtime drama The Affair and completed shooting on the
