Today's guest is Bruce Trout. Bruce is a coach at Starting Strength Columbus under P.E.A.

And the team over there in Ohio.

Bruce is a guy who, Ina, was pushing me to have on the podcast because Ina has a tendency to push relentlessly

on things.

And I hear she actually pushed you pretty hard to join us and become a coach.

But we'll talk about that later.

I wanted to start out with your story.

You know, one of the most interesting things about you is you're one of these guys who

makes the rest of us feel like lazy pieces of shit because you're in a gym as an amputee,

you know, with one leg and a prosthetic doing heavy, difficult stuff, not complaining,

getting it done. So that's, that's something I want to share with the group, just your,

your mindset and where your heads at. And before we get there, though, I do want to talk about

Bruce, would you mind starting with breaking down exactly what happened that day?

Yeah.

You know, if I start to ramble, just cut me off. I tend to do that. But 2019, November 22nd. At the time, I was living up northern Ohio. So, but I was on my way to work early morning. Sun hadn't come up yet. And just as I was about to get onto the highway to the main stretch of the road,

it saw an accident.

So I don't know for sure.

I was about 60 yards ahead of me, something like that.
