It's the media buzz meter with Howard Kurtz.

Usually I like to ease into the podcast, tell a few jokes, something like that, but I'm not going to do that today.

I'm not going to do it because I'm really pissed off.

I'm really pissed off because we live in a political culture where you can say anything now,

you can utter the worst, the most egregious, the most horrifying language.

And, you know, a few people criticize it on social media, and everybody moves on.

Nothing happens to you.

Unthinkable.

Some of these things, you would have been expelled, not that long ago.

But now, it's almost like everybody's been desensitized.

Oh, look at what so-and-so said.

Yeah, I guess that was pretty bad.

There's been some reaction and nothing has changed and nothing is going to happen to

Republican Congressman Andy Ogles of Tennessee.

Oh, here's the story saying he faced a firestorm of criticism.

Yeah, okay.

Story number one.

This is the most racist, Islamophobic thing I've seen.

I mean, not on social media, but for somebody who is an elected member of Congress.

Ogles said, Muslims don't belong in American society.

He said, they should all just be kicked out.
