A new show, a new voice. On a network that has for years carried the

conversation about this football team into the ears of the long-suffering. Packernet. I am grateful

to be here. I will say it once. I will not say it again. Not because the gratitude is not real.

It is deeply. But because if gratitude is not real, it is, deeply, but because

if I spend this broadcast thanking people for the privilege of speaking, I am no better than

the men I came here to hold accountable, and there are already enough of those.

I am not an access merchant trading honesty for a pregame handshake. I am not, and I want this

understood from the opening bell. I am not one of these cheerful, green-tinted charlatans

who sits across from you every Monday morning

after a loss and tells you with a straight face that what you just watched was a step forward.

It was not a step forward. It has not been a step forward in a very long time.

Now, let me tell you what I am. I am a man who believes that this sport is too important,

and this franchise is too sacred, and your time, yes, your time, the time you give us every

afternoon on your drive home, is too valuable for me to come in here and lie to you. I will not

lie to you. I will not shade the truth for the comfort of the front
