Mayor Mondani took the stage in Queens to deliver a speech marking his first 100 days in office.

Well, Alan, this definitely

felt more like a campaign rally. It even featured Senator Bernie Sanders, who was a national

figure for the Democratic Socialist Party. The mayor announced three new initiatives, but he also

touted reforms that have been made in his first 100 days, something that some critics say it is just

too early to take a victory lap. In a roughly 40-minute speech, Mayor Zoran Mamdani drew upon

the history of the founding of the Democratic Socialists of America. He believed, just as we do,

that to deliver this great society, we should tax the rich.

Mamdani said he was practicing pothole politics his first 100 days in office.

And that's why since January 1st, New York City has filled more than 102,000 potholes. The mayor said he has delivered on promises related to universal child care, protecting

tenants from bad landlords and putting a stop to complicated consumer fees and cancellation
