Glenn Slater, who's been nominated for three Tony Awards, and he's worked with legendary

names in the theater like Andrew Lloyd Weber, Alan Mankin. You know, it turns out Glenn was born

the day before I was. So obviously, I have a little catching up to do.

We were speaking with him because of his collaboration with Alan Makin on the film, Tangled, which had just been released.

So a couple of things strike me about this interview. First, a little inside baseball here.

It was the first time I decided to just reach out to someone to ask if they'd like to share their story with us, you know, rather than just try to run the race of contacting agents or scaling the

behemoth Disney wall to try to get scheduled for interviews and that kind of thing. I reached out to

Glenn on social media, and he responded. He was more than happy to speak with us at quite some

length about his work. And, you know, that's when I realized, um, people are just

really happy to share their stories. Uh, and for podcasts, social media was like powerful magic.
